Thank you, Cheryl Chew :) You always know how to make it all better.

Red Velvet cupcake at Haji Lane.
Strapped with stilt-like footwear, Chum* and I were two awkward, unusually tall shutterbug-wannabes tottering around the uneven streets, feeling distinctly awkward with our bulky cameras dangling from our shoulders and wrists.
What a girl wears has particular influence on what she feels like doing, so despite the fact that I’d lugged both my DSLR and polaroid camera along, and Chum her own polaroid and a whole box of holga effects, we decided to check into a quaint-looking nursery-themed cupcake shop.
It was there that we spent an entire box of coloured polaroid film testing out the holga effects, some of which turned out rather pretty while others were epicly cringe-worthy - there was one with multiple distorted versions of my face.
Chum ordered the chocolate cupcake, which was good but tasted more like brownie, and I ordered the red velvet-flavored one, which apparently is the most popular.
The first taste of it was pleasant, but it quickly became a classic case of the kind of overkill that you get with mass-produced dessert. It was kinda creamyish, too-rich, sourish but not really that, a hint of raspberry yeah but it didn’t rub me the right way…okay guess I need to level up on my descriptive skills. Not really my thing, I conclude. But worth a try.
*a random nickname I devised for my bestfriend which somehow stuck ever since.

Bestfriend took me out for my virgin taste of the awesome waffles and ice cream @ Salted Caramel. Mmmmmmhmmm. Sweet heaven.

Met up with some 12ers at AMK Jubilee today. This thick gooey concoction is actually some sort of durian dessert that we had a new dessert shop at level 1. Its creamy, wholesome, duriany goodness filled Yus with a passion and Andy’s face with an orgasmic expression.
I’d rate it 4/5 stars. Pretty good stuff.
